Good Morning Friends,

today is Wednesday March 31, 2010

It was a fairly decent day yesterday friends. Well, as decent as can be expected, that is. It wasn't warm or anything like that, it was just a better day than the previous one. I mean, there was no rain to speak of and no thunder and no lightening. It was even sunny out a bit as well. So, that was a nice feature of the day. I did manage to get a haircut and that was probably the highlight of my day.

.I don't know about you Gail, but I am still impressed with the viewers that I am getting to my top-rated video. That is the one with me in my Miata heading up to Squamish last September. Why I am still getting about ten visitors a day or something like that. I have all fifty states in the U.S. covered and lots of European action too. Mostly from the U.K. though and I suppose that is related to the Susan Maugham version of Bobby's Girl which is the song that is highlighted in the video. The original version was sung by Marcie Blane. Here is the video here and it has over 2000 hits now and that is huge for me:

This is really refreshing - and depressing for me at the same time though. I mean, I can go days without getting a single visitor to my blog here and over on the main part of my blog as well. I mean, this is where I do all of my heavy thinking and nobody even cares most of the time. But, that is just the way she goes I suppose. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

.So what do you think Gail? Are you still with us breathing types? I am sure you are doing well and things are OK wherever you are. Don't know what you would do if you were me, but tonight it is time for me to make another post over on the main part of my blog. I suppose my fans are waiting anxiously eh? What fans right? Laugh, laugh and laugh some more because that is what I am going to do. But, tonight I will do a post on my financial position which means of course providing an update on my stock portfolio. It is the end of the first quarter after all and I do have some modest gains to report. I have to wait until the markets close however, so that my data will be accurate and up to date. .I know that is a bit early yet to be talking about these kinds of things, but racing is coming up again on Saturday. If I am near the track tomorrow then I can pick a racing form so that I can study up on the situation. It is no big deal of course because I can even study up on Saturday if I have to anyway. .Got an important administrative job done yesterday friends, so that made me feel like I accomplished something. Boy oh boy, the weather was really something yesterday too. Very unsettled, kind of like my stomach gurgling away if you know what I mean. But, in the case of Mother Nature her problem was the combining of the hot and the cold, that is to say it was very thunderous out indeed. And, a bit of lightening too. But, very noisy indeed. Like huge firecrackers in the sky. See, that is how violent Mother Nature can be when she is upset. So, that means that something is upsetting the poor woman and that should be a great cause of concern to all of us. If we are paying attention to these kinds of things, that is.

.I wonder just what it is Denise? Do you have any thoughts on the matter? I bet you do, but you are just not talking eh? Secrets. Of course you can keep a secret. I even have a few of them myself. Secrets are a lot of fun of course, especially when you don't want anybody to know what they are. But, you know, there are so many things wrong in this world it is no wonder that Mother Nature blows her top once in a while. And, what about all of those earthquakes in the past little while? Do you think Mother Nature was responsible for all of those herself or were there other forces at work? Well, if I was Mother Nature I would be mad as hell if someone was messing around in my territory. How could I do my job if someone was screwing around with my stuff? See what I mean?

.But, you know, Mother Nature might be talking to us about other things as well. Like, how we conduct our business amongst ourselves, for example. Or, maybe there is something bugging Her in the political and economic world. Mother Nature knows what is going on everywhere you know. She knows all about the problems in the U.S. and in the Middle East region as well. She is not stupid and keeps her eye on everything that takes place in this world. And, when she speaks we had better listen or else. Why I bet you that somewhere in this world someone is up to no good and Mother Nature is trying to tell us something. She is most likely warning us about upcoming events. Bad future events. So, I don't know what you are going to do Denise, but I know what I am going to do. I am going to behave myself in the best possible way that I know how because if I do not Mother Nature will find out and she will deal with me in her own way and in her own time. I do not mess around with Mother Nature. She is just too tough a cookie for me.

Well, good morning indeed friends. I am still lying pretty low on this Monday AM. I have some tasks to perform and hopefully the Work gods will favour me in this regard. I hope Brenda is doing OK and is still alive and kicking like the rest of us. Not sure what Brenda's politics are, but I hope she is trying to pay attention to world events like I am. I ran across an interesting video yesterday and it concerns our friends here at Google and You Tube. It was good to see representatives of theirs at a big parade in Los Angeles regarding the Anti-War Movement and 9/11. I don't know how big it actually was but they say it was big, so I will accept that for now. I am happy to report that my associates think like I do along these lines. 9/11 clearly was an inside job. So, well done Google and welcome aboard. A little bit of truth never did hurt now did it? See video here:

So, that is all fine and dandy. America is really in rough shape you know, economically, politically, and otherwise. And, this 9/11 business is not going to go away. Sooner or later all of the elites and high ranking politicians are going to have to come to grips with this issue that will not die. And, the reason that they have not done so to date? The answer is simple friends. The U.S. is no longer a democracy. I know that might be a hard pill for some people to swallow, but I believe that is the fact of the matter. When the mainstream media will not even give the issue the time of day then you know that censorship is occurring and that means that democracy is not happening either. I do not know what the true motives of Google and You Tube might be for their apparent involvement in the 9/11 Movement, but that is rather irrelevant at this point. More people will become aware of the scam known as 9/11 and that certainly cannot be a bad thing. So, I don't know what you are going to do Brenda, but I think I will applaud Google for sensing that it is time to do the right thing. The truth is not going to fade away, it will only continue to haunt us in some form or another. Talk to you all later and have a nice day.

Not a bad day yesterday friends. A beautiful sunny day and convertible weather too. Made it out to the track like I said I would and had a pleasant time there as well. Spent most of my time socializing with the regular players like myself. And, some of these guys have been coming to these horse racing places for years and years, just like myself. Didn't bump into any close friends, relatives, or acquaintances this time around. Well, maybe next time. Who knows eh? It was mostly a productive day money wise and I won three triactors in all. They were not big payoffs but they paid the freight if you know what I mean.

.

So, now Judy, what would you do if you were me? I am supposing that you are still going and getting on with the business of figuring this whole life thing out. Quite a challenge eh? Well, I don't know what you would do Judy, but I know what I am doing that is for sure. It doesn't cost anything to be curious or to have ideas on these life matters you know. Life is free for the most part if you know what I mean. Free in the sense that it doesn't cost anything to speculate. Oh, I know that some of you guys are going to spout off right away that there is a cost to everything. And, that is very true. Everything costs something because everything is dependent upon something else. Pure and simple logic. But, we can pretend that things don't cost - right? Well, I certainly do sometimes anyway. I just like to think that my thinking is free, irrespective of the costs associated with being able to think that is. These are just a given anyway, right? Well, of course they are.

Well, Judy I think I am starting to ramble on a bit here on this Sunday morning so I hope you do not hold that against me. But, you know what I was thinking? I was thinking that girls are actually as smart as boys. Yes, I think it is true. They are just as smart and as clever, and maybe just as devious as well. Well, I mean, they are cut from the same cloth are they not? Well, of course they are. Even if you believe the Christian interpretation of things you would have to come to that conclusion as well. Same dirt and same genes and same everything. They are just different sexually that is all. That is the only difference as far as I can tell. Well, maybe man is built a little stronger physically ( there is an anthropological term for that but I forgot the name ) but, what the heck, the brain capacity is the same isn't it? I mean, a woman needs to have her mental house in order too just to be able to survive. Why sure she does. And, maybe she is even a little more cagey too. Think about it. If she is smaller physically then maybe this is her compensatory feature. That is, being able to be more devious than her male counterpart. Well, if you don't like the word devious then about more astute, or just plain cagey like I said. ( I read a similar idea back in my university days about how the Semites of the Middle Eastern deserts became more cagey and ingenious simply because of the dry desert conditions and lack of resources made them tougher mentally; their conditions allowed them to create ways to survive; they were forced into mental survival and they used their brains to survive and prosper. ) Did you ever read the writings by Arthur Schopenhauer and how he characterized women? Sure, he was a misogynist and that kind of thing but he also added something to the debate as well. He told us all about women and how they attract men and get them to marry them and take care of them. Now, that is a pretty good gig if you can get away with it right? Of course it is. And, that is why women are beautiful as well. When they are younger, that is. Schopenhauer talks about these things too. The female uses her beauty to attract a man; she simply uses her physical features to her advantage. Now, that is smart thinking if you want my take on the matter. And, that is why I like and appreciate women. They are good at what they do. And, so, as you can see, even though Schopenhauer was downgrading women he was pointing out another important feature of man, and this case woman. All humans can learn how to exploit their attributes that they were born with. That is the overall ingenuity of man. And, that is why man is the kind of the beasts. So, just what do you think of that Judy?

Ramble, ramble, and ramble on eh? Isn't that what this great life is all about? Now, where did I start this post this morning anyway? What was my focus and did I even have one? Are my thoughts connected in any way whatsoever? Well, I don't think you can get away with the connection now can you? No matter what I say and write down I bet that you can find a connection to just about everything I say. It can be no other way and that is because something causes something else to happen all the time. One idea leads to another and some new idea is formed. And, that is the beauty of the human mind dear friends. You can't keep a good mind down. No way. And, the female mind and the male mind are both good at these kinds of things. Why just think about the physical build of a man or a woman. A man or a woman will capitalize and use to their advantage their very own physical features. And, that includes their minds as well. Women are cagey in their own way, and so are men. They are both interested in sex more or less and they both want to survive. They will do the things that are right for them, in their own time and in their own way. That is what their brains gave them the ability to do. So, I guess this is just another way of looking at life. It is a battle for survival and a battle of the sexes all at the same time. And, who do you think the winner is Judy? Man or woman? Well, I guess the only way to answer that is to figure out what each one is after and then determine for yourself based on the facts who the winner and who the loser is. I mean, if you think winning and losing is what it is all about that is.

So, who knows what Judy would do. I am sure that she is just as confused as the rest of us concerning these male and female matters. But, then again how do we know if Judy is confused or not? We cannot make that determination because none of us really knows Judy or her mind. Maybe the girls are a smarter breed and maybe they have got the whole business figured out. And, how would you know if you were not a girl in the first place? See how confusing the whole thing is? So many questions that need to answered. So little time and so many questions. It is mind boggling now isn't it?

Sorry for the rather late post, but had something to do so I hope you will not hold that against me. I know that I am telling everybody that this is the home of the guaranteed daily commentary and that means that I will be doing my very best to get something down on paper every day. Even if I just pop in and say hello at least you will know that I am still alive and kicking and not dying of some horrible disease. You guys will be the first to know if that happens of course. But, I think you guys can appreciate that there might be a moment or two when I will not be able to do a post. You know, like I am out of town or something like that - or any number of unforeseen circumstances. My promise will be honored of course if I am able to honor it, if you know what I mean. Hope this sets the record straight for everybody.

.I guess the big deal for today is the racing aspect of the whole thing. Racing is coming down at approximately 1600 hrs local time so that is the focus for today as you can imagine. I had a fairly successful week at work as short as it was so that was OK of course. The weather does not look promising at all but there is nothing whatsoever that we can do about that. So, we will just have to deal with whatever comes our way.

.Anyhoo, just a great big reminder that if any of my friends and acquaintances, and yes, even relatives, are popping into town you know where I will be. So. see you there is you are coming and don't be afraid to call me if you need a ride. Talk to you guys later and have a nice day!

I just finished reading a short article about Ann Coulter over on the National Post. I don't want to outline in much detail how I am feeling after reading that because it would most likely just ruin my day. I can see now why some people did not want her to speak in our country. When a controversial figure such as she goes to another country and advocates that her country take over another that is when I get upset and want to " angrily " speak out. But, I am trying to remain my controlled self and I do not want to ruin an otherwise very successful week on a number of fronts. One of these fronts shall remain private for the moment. Possibly more on this later, but I cannot guarantee that I will be revealing this little secret to you. Some things, like I said have to remain unknown to the public. And, besides this is not some earth shaking event anyhow. Just something personal, and well, satisfying that is all.

We have to start getting ready for tomorrow's racing day friends. That is the uppermost thing in my mind as you can well imagine. It is what I live for, and crave. That weekend excitement that makes it all come alive for us, well for me at any rate. Are any of you guys racing fans? Harness racing fans, that is? Well, if you get a chance don't be afraid to head out to a track and see what the fuss is all about. You just might like it once you understand it and find out how you can have an entertaining weekend at a race track. It is harmless fun and can be good for your mental health as well. So, I am recommending harness racing as a viable activity if you do not know anything about it. It is a form of gambling, but that does not mean that you will lose your shirt or anything like that. Simply exercise good judgement while betting and everything should turn out just fine. A final word for my friends and acquaintances of course: if you are popping into town from out of town and want to go then you know how to get hold of me. If you have spent any time of my blog you will note that I am quite a political person. You will also note my sometimes rather, " hard core left wing " views. I don't like using the word " extremist " views even though that is how someone from the right might describe me. I don't like the word " extremist " because that is right wing labelling and is insulting to say the least. But, that might be the categorization of someone who does not necessarily know me and would also be the impression of someone who is still addicted to the mainstream media. These people simply have a different mindset than myself and they believe in different things. I left the mainstream media in disgust some time ago. I simply got tired of the lies and the propaganda and war mongering and all the rest. And, yes I even got tired of the entertainment as well. The things that are supposed to pacify you and not make you think about the real issues of our time.

Well, friends I have set myself free that is what I have basically done. The internet is my home now and I love it here. I can find in this part of the world many who think like I do. ( Just as an aside here. Did you know that the majority of Canadians now spend more time on the internet than watching their televisions? A truly refreshing statistic indeed ) But, I can also find those who are not like me and do not believe the kinds of things that I believe in. The sheep ( the great indoctrinated masses ) live here as well just like everybody else. These are the people that I confront sometimes as well. And, I confront the propagandists, the disinformationalists, and the apologists for the system as well. The internet is a free place friends so let us try and keep it that way. You can do whatever you want with the truth, but it is not going to die. You can try and hide it or even destroy it, but is like the Terminator; it will find a way to rejuvenate itself and come back to haunt you. The truth will never die, the real truth, that is. And, it is always there for the ones who want to be able to discover it.

Friends, I highly recommend that you visit a site called Information Clearing House if you want a little bit of data that will make you start to think a little bit. This is a site that attracts personalities like mine; it is a truth seeking site. On this site you find those who criticize governments and what they are trying to do to you. They are trying to control you and also ruining your lives at the same time, that is essentially what they are trying to do. These governments cause wars and they cause debts for you to pay. The governments of today do not work for the people, but rather, they work for the corporations and the bankers. That is the very simplicity of the thing. This kind of information or revelation even, is something that I like to call the truth. So, if you want to be just like me ( do you dare? ) then bookmark the site called Information Clearing House and begin the road to getting your mental house in order. I think you will find the truth a most refreshing thing indeed and it might even set you free as they say. Back on the job today friends, so wish me luck. It is kind of fun just working part time you know, sort of like a little vacation if you know what I mean. Not sure what the weather is supposed to be like either. We shall see what we shall see of course.

Hope you are all paying attention to world events and that kind of thing. Nothing really changes does it? Really, I mean. The world is still in a financial funk because of the banksters on Wall Street and the wars go on in the Middle East. The U.S. is on the road to bankruptcy, or is already there and nobody seems to really care. Obama gets his health care plan and he gains a little bit of political legitimacy in the process. But, there is so much more that has to be done and one wonders if he has the time or the political clout to accomplish all of the things that need to be accomplished. If you want to know what my agenda would be as president it is simply this. I would have started on the road to restoring the good name of America right off the bat. There is no reason for the illegal wars in the Middle East and I would have done something about that immediately. I mean, is the Military Industrial Complex so strong that they can frustrate the will of the people? Well, actually the answer is yes. If they were not there would be no more spending going on for these wars. I think Obama should have called the brass in the military in for a little talk and told them the score. And, that score is that the wars are wrong, they are killing innocent people; they are causing the downfall of America; they are ruining the economy and they are totally unnecessary. Simple right? Well, not exactly. If it was simple it would have been done already. But that is what I would have done anyway. And, what about Israel and its ambitions in the region? A tough one right? Not really. It would be easy to set Israel straight and make it bargain with its neighbours and achieve some kind of peace in the region. The only problem is of course the political problems back home related to trying to do the right thing. That's right, you have the lobbyists and the influential men associated with them. So, things are not as easy as they would seem. Obama is not stupid and knows that he cannot create too many waves too soon. He knows what happens to presidents who ' step out of line '. But, I think Obama could still have been nipping away at his so-called change. Make some dents and make some waves. Let them know who is boss and what is more important. The country is more important than any interest group. And, that includes the very influential and destructive banksters as well. He needs to make that point though and that is what I would have done right off the bat. Make a presence and establish yourself as someone who truly believes in change. Take on the political interest groups. You just might be amazed how the people will fall in line and respect you for doing the right thing.

.Got out and about yesterday and did some business activity friends, and then that was the end of my day, more or less. You know, I simply have to keep coming back to these old themes of mine. And, just what are these old themes of mine you might enquire? Well, if you are a dedicated and consistent reader of my thoughts then you will already be aware of the kinds of things that occupy my mind and that I talk about.

.

The first big thing that I talk about is the importance of friendship and what a real friend is. Sometimes the only real friend a guy has got is his wife or his mother or just someone who accepts you for what you are. They like and appreciate you no matter what. You are just loved or tolerated even, because people have come to know you and are not afraid of you no matter what you think or do. They know who you are and they will not turn against you or do you any serious harm. These are your friends and you come to rely on them for accepting you the way you are.

.There are still a couple of these kinds of individuals left in my life.

.

Now, if I was to happen to lose this kind of advantage that I currently have then I would most likely do something about it. I could become a complete outcast or I could even take on the world and do damage to the world. Well, fortunately I am not a violent person and I would probably just rationalize my situation instead, and move on somehow. Remember, there is only one really important person in the world and that is you. You need to protect that person no matter what. So once again, if you are an avid reader of my blog then you will know that this is one of my main themes in these pages. You need to protect who you are no matter what. You have to be strong in the face of adversity. There are simply going to be times when it seems like the whole world is operating against you and you need to do something about that. And, surviving involves mainly your mind and its ability to protect you.

Another theme that is currently irritating me is this whole Israeli thing. Recently, on the internet there was some brand new information about Israeli involvement in 9/11. According to a reliable source, Israeli and or its agents were involved in this attack. Now, this is not the kind of story that the mainstream media ( MSM ) is going to run with. It is simply too conspiratorial in nature - and anti-Israel. If the MSM have not done anything about 9/11 in the past what makes you think they are going to do anything about it now? Are you paying attention to the news? Are you watching the ' little spat ' that Israel is having with the U.S. over the Jerusalem settlements? Did you notice the insult accorded to Vice-president Biden and the fact that he was side-stepped on his recent visit to the Middle East in an attempt to get the Peace Talks going again? Biden embarrassed by Israel? Remember these things? Notice how everything is being played out? Do you really think that this was some kind of an accident? I mean, if you believe the rhetoric that we get all of the time about how close and strong the relationship is between the U.S. and Israel then how does an incident like this even develop? It is not possible. And, then we have coming out of left field this indictment of Israel by a former military man, a certain Alan Sabrosky. He is basically accusing Israel of doing 9/11. This was all over the Alternative Media outlets and on You Tube too. The videos are all there for the watching. Just start googling and see what the fuss is all about. Certain alternative media outlets and bloggers are still focused on this issue. It is certainly bothering me as you can see. The MSM is not concerned about the incident though. And, now what is happening? Well, the issue of the Jerusalem settlements we now find out was just a big mistake and is not that big of a deal anyway. And, besides we are talking about future development anyhow. Israel needs this land for its citizens, so why should the rest of the world be so concerned anyhow? It was just an unfortunate set of circumstances that the announcement of the settlements and Joe Biden's visit occurred at the same time. End of story. And, besides, Israel and the U.S. are the best of buddies anyway so this incident will surely blow over and the U.S. and Israel will be friends once more. What makes you think they were even enemies?

I guess it is kind of like my life too. If I do something it doesn't really matter to my friends. They will love and accept me no matter what. But, that is not really my main point friends. There is a lot more going on here between Israel and the U.S. and the whole political situation. Notice the AIPAC conference taking place in the U.S.? Hillary Clinton is there and she is speaking about the strong relationship between Israel and the U.S. What about the settlements and this business of some character accusing Israel doing 9/11? Did you hear or see anything on your television about this incident that I am referring to? Most likely you did not - and will not. The methodology is business as usual. These are just nutbars anyway, you know anti-Semites and foes of Israel. That means that they are not going to get the time of day on the mainstream media. But, yet you and I know that this is potentially very explosive information. However, that does not matter one tiny bit. The show must go on. And, the show of course involves the demonization and criticism of Iran. Iran must not have nuclear weapons and Israel must be safe and secure. The U.S. will stand by Israel no matter what. Are you paying attention friends? The no matter what just happened right in front of your face and nothing is going to be done about it. Do you see why I get so angry and continue on with these kinds of themes?

Well Daphne I hope you are paying attention because the sheep are not. I read an interesting little article yesterday that suggested that the population is broken down into three segments. The article talked about how people react to individuals and situations based on their attitudes and dislikes. For example people either hate someone or they love them. 20% for and 20% against. To use this Israeli example let us say that Israel can do no wrong. Well, Israel's friends ( like mine ) can be counted on no matter what. That is the 20%. And, similarly there is the opposing 20%. This group will never accept you for what you are and will constantly criticize and reject you. These are your enemies. Now, the great bulk of people in the middle is the 60% or the real sheep - the malleable ones. These are the people who are watching television and who are being propagandized on a daily basis. They are the target of the top 20% who will try to influence them and bring them into their camp. And, that is what is going on in America right now. Israel and its supporters are influencing the masses with their propaganda. And, this is not hard to do really when you have the mainstream media not picking up the ball and running with such a headline story as occurred just last week. The story does not see the light of day. The information is suppressed or censored. And, that is why the issue of 9/11 keeps festering. It needs attention, but it is not getting it. The conspiracy theorists are not going to go away, the bottom 20% if you will, and neither are the top 20% or the people who support Israel and believe that it can do no wrong. The top 20% is winning because they control the media and the message. So, Daphne I don't know what you would do in this kind of a situation, but I know what I am going to do. I am just going to keep harping away until the message filters out. I mean, if the sheep is the great prize then I will certainly do my best to get in there and try and influence them.

.But, you can see how important this business of friendship is. I know that in a way, this is a bad example, but in another way it makes sense as well. Israel would not be able to pursue its agenda without its staunch allies, its committed friends. It counts on them at all times even if it says that it would be able to go it alone. It could not go it alone and I think everybody knows that. And, that is why I just laugh at all of these media games being played out in front of us. I mean, if the U.S. wanted to snuff Israel out for being a bad actor in the Middle East it would find a way to damage Israel. It has no intention of doing that as you can see. Hillary Clinton speaking at the AIPAC is reminding us how strong the bonds are between Israel and the U.S. Do you see why the whole thing is just a big comedy though? It is as if Alan Sabrosky didn't even exist. And that is the message of the media here friends. Israel truly does have a friend that it can rely on. Friends count. Wasn't much of a day yesterday friends. Kind of unsettled weather, but not horrible or anything like that. I think the Paralympics wound down as well. So, I guess that means our City is back to normal after almost a month of Olympics activity. And, that suits me just fine as you can imagine. I mean, driving around in this City can be quite hair raising at the best of times. But, now she is back to normal and it is time to relax once again. I did get out and did a bit of shopping, so I did not completely goof off.

I wonder what Karen above thinks of the current political situation. Like me, she probably did not pay much attention to this Israeli stuff that was occurring at about the same time as we were getting our pics taken back in 1967. I am talking about the Six Day War of course. Funny isn't it how all this stuff is coming back to haunt us as we speak. Don't know if you guys managed to see that video or listen to the audio file about Israel and its involvement with 9/11. Now, this is quite shocking information, but not totally unexpected if you are following these kinds of things like I have been doing lately. Just google or go to You Tube.com and pop in the words " U.S. military knows Israel did 9/11 " and see what you come up with. This is quite a damning indictment of Israel I can assure you. And, the guy who is doing the talking is some former director of some military school and a Phd holder as well. So, the man comes with some credentials and quite a bit of credibility. He is saying that the U.S. generals are now aware of Israeli and Mossad involvement in the attack on New York.

Now who would have thought of such a thing eh? How about you Karen, do you think they did it? Well, if you are " still " a follower of the mainstream media and CNN and Fox News, why you might as well have still been sleeping anyway because I don't think they will give this kind of story the time of day. Or, if they do you can be sure that the man doing the revealing will be painted as just another nutbar and conspiracy freak. It is just all so unreal and surreal actually when you think about it. It is like we are living in some kind never never world or dream state or something. The world goes on around us and we are just supposed to believe whatever the mainstream media wants us to believe. That is how our current society is setup to be run.

Now strange isn't it that the wars continue unabated in Afghanistan and the other theatres. Israel still keeps on pursuing its agenda of Occupation and threatening its neighbours like Iran. But, can you notice a subtle difference in the air Karen? The Federal Reserve is making conciliatory statements about how the big financial companies should never be bailed out and should not have been. Interesting eh? This is interesting rhetoric especially when you consider that the Federal Reserve is basically working for the banks, I mean. And, did you notice also that Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to negotiate a comprehensive peace deal as well? I guess the Jerusalem business is just a little side show anyway. Right? I am sure that we can expect other little tidbits to develop in the days ahead as well. I mean, if this story is for real then one might really expect some change on the landscape. I mean, if you were guilty and had the power to change public opinion in some sort of subtle and undetectable way then wouldn't you pursue those kinds of routes if they were at your disposable I mean? So, what do you think Karen? Are they guilty or what, or do you even care?

Another more negative angle to the whole sequence of events though is that Israel might get more aggressive with its Iran policy. This is quite possible I think if Israel thinks that everyone is ganging up on it. I mean, if the U.S. is now going to start to distance itself from Israel, because of the recent Jerusalem incident or because of the possible involvement of Israel in 9/11 then maybe Israel will start to act more violently and unpredictably. Now, that would really be cause for concern, I think. So, I don't know what you would do about this whole mess Karen, but I am sure there is plenty cause for concern here. And, don't forget, I have not even mentioned the fragile U.S. economy. That is just one more aspect to the whole thing of course.

Looks like we are back to the rain and some unsettled weather friends. That is OK, because I got out and about in the unit yesterday and made my way out to the track. The top was down in the convertible and it was great in the sunshine and the high overcast sky. It was pleasantly warm out too. I did not win any money at the races, but like they say, have the fun is getting there. How did you like that one?

.So, up above is yet another picture of one of my female classmates from way back in the year 1967. Her name is Judy as you can see. And, I am asking her the question which I have been posing for quite some time on these pages, namely " What would so and so do? " I am wondering what Judy would do if she were me and if she was pondering just what it is that she is good at. I would be asking, what is my specialty and why was I born? What is my mission I guess is the best way to put the question.

.Well, I guess we are going to have to start by figuring out what I am good at, and not so good at all at the same time. Actually, there are a ton of questions that we could be looking at here, but we don't have all day so I am going to have to get down to the bottom of things quickly so as not to bore my readers and make them sleepy with displeasure. The first thing that you have to know about me is that I am not like the other people; I am simply different. So, why don't we start right there. I mean, if you know me, you will know that I hold attitudes and beliefs which are not entirely mainstream. I don't think I am ever going to get married and I am a big and constant critic of the ' system '. Based on this differentiation from my peers though, I think you will find that I have indeed progressed differently than my peers. Now, I use the word ' progress ' with some caution here as you may appreciate. Let us just say that I have survived differently than most other people and progressed in my own way and in my own good time. How do you like that for an explanation?

.Now, if you take me apart you will notice that I have the same kinds of dreams and hopes and aspirations as most other people. Actually, I am a relative success of sorts when you break me down and start examining me. I mean, financially, I am not a complete mess, without going into details of course, and I am not living in a cardboard box somewhere. I feel free and I act free in this regard and I am generally happy with my station in life. So, that means that I must have been doing something right all along, whereas others may have not been so lucky. These are the good things of course.

.On the hopeful front some of my big dreams are becoming a novelist or even a politician. These are my two big aspirations actually. I like power and politics and I try to understand it and find out who the big players are and why they are where they are. I have kind of come to the conclusion though that most of these politicians are not very nice characters, however. Some are just serving a select interest group and not much more than that. A lot of them have been bought have and have succumbed to the system, the system of money buying off politicians. I think that is the great problem with the U.S. for example. The whole damn system is corrupt and that is why the little people are going nowhere. The system is designed currently for the rich, big players and their paid off politicians. That is why it is good to see real progressive politicians fighting for the little guy. And, there are so few of them in America. You can probably count them on your left hand. And, that is an indication of how corrupt the system has become. So, if I was to enter the political fray you just know that I would be a bit player and some kind of person with extreme views. But, I would be happy as hell fighting the system let me tell you.

Another of my big ideas is writing. I like writing stuff on my blog and I would like to produce some big famous novel that everybody thinks is some kind of masterpiece that will change the world. I don't think that is going to happen because in all of these years I have not really got started on anything. The other part of my writing ambitions though might produce better results for me. I am talking about the short essay and putting together a coherent piece of work that could influence people. I think this is one of the finest things that a person can do. And, that is to get his thoughts down on paper in the most imaginative and effective way that he can muster up. I think this is one of the greatest ego trips that man can bestow upon himself and that is trying to influence public opinion. I believe that this is one of my best possible hopes for success in all of my areas of interest.

.On the love side of things as you can see I am just a hopeless romantic and this is not going to go anywhere at all. It is a lot of fun though living in the past and remembering things, the good things if you know what I mean. Actually, this is another one of my strong points and another possible area of success for me. I know what the good parts of life are and I know that you have to appreciate what you have experienced and make the best of that memory. Experiences come along and you just have to appreciate them for what they are. But, out of those experiences you have to be able to appreciate the beauty of life and what it has to offer. Life has offered you experiences and it is up to each one of us to appreciate the significance of each one of them and to savour the moment so to speak. Experience is really what life is all about. It is nothing more than that.

.So, finally, hopefully now, you can see what I really want to do. I like philosophy a lot and I think this is possibly my strongest area. Philosophy is reflection and I do a lot of that. This is what I am good at and I am a real expert. I do a lot of thinking and dreaming and that kind of thing. So, this is what I am good at and I see this area as my strongest sector and place where I can find the most success. So, see what a bit of reflection can do for you friends? It can help you out and make you understand what you are and what you are good at. Surely, we are all good at something. It just takes a little bit of time to find out what it is that is all. So, as you can see even though I am different I do have some things going for me. So, just what would Judy do? Well, I hope that she will do exactly what I just did, and that is to examine her life and find out what she is good at and what makes her happy all at the same time.

Well, good morning indeed friends. My hectic week is over and I am in relaxation mode once again. The weather was mostly good at work and the money was not all that bad either. But, there is the one big thing that makes it all happen for us, and that is racing at the Big M. That's right, harness racing at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey. Life does not get any better than that now does it? Well, in the mind of this writer the answer is no. So, if you are planning on going to the track, post time for racing in New Jersey is 1600 hrs here on the West Coast. Let us hope that all of the weather madness back East has been cleared up and that it is back to racing and a fast track to boot. Back to business as normal if you know what I mean.

Ran into a pretty serious article yesterday about Israel and 9/11. It is an interview with a fellow, a Phd no less, who thinks that the Mossad and Israel orchestrated the attack. Following is a link to the article and the audio file. This is all very interesting stuff of course. I am pretty sure that this is not something that you are going to see plastered all over the mainstream media. I mean, if they steer clear of this topic on a daily basis anyway, then what makes you think that they are going to bring something like this to light? However, the author of this information does not appear to be any kind of a nutbar, but rather, someone who knows what he is talking about. The material is in the camp of the conspiracy guys of course, but now we are getting into a whole new level of seriousness. Our author is a military guy and also a professional scholar. So, it looks like things might be heating up here a bit folks. So, hold on to your seats if this material takes hold and manages to find itself on the mainstream media somewhere. But, like I said, don't hold your breath over that one. . Anyhow, so much for the heavy political stuff. Back to business. And, business for us of course is enjoying our days off as best as we know how, and that is in spite of what is happening in the background, within view or otherwise if you know what I mean. Friends, we only live once, so the trick to the whole thing is to make the best of any situation that we find ourselves in. Think about it. You and I are living today and at no other time. We experience what we experience. There can be no other scenario at all. This is it. Just deal with whatever you are dealing with and make the best of it. Oh, I know you cannot really counsel someone and change the " real " them, but at least you can offer some ideas and some hope. I know that in the past I have actually changed my behaviour over certain matters and taken on new perspectives as well. I will not provide you with examples except to say that change to a certain extent is possible. And, I think the key to that change in behavior is information or knowledge. So, that is basically the only real evidence that I can provide for you at this time. You will have to experience any real change based on your own individual circumstances and in relation to your personality. I believe people can change, at least their attitudes towards certain things that is. I know that people can be very hardened in their views and beliefs as well. I am thinking of political and religious views here friends. This is the tough territory. But, I have seen change occur in my own life as I have already told you. So, change can occur. But, can you change the basic personality or defining characteristic of a person? I am not so sure about that. But, I will repeat if for you. I believe you can change certain attitudes or beliefs of a person, or the part of a person where these views are maintained. Information like I said can do that. Maybe that is the simple route to combating ignorance. Information is simply knowledge and maybe that is our route to change. If a person is not living a life of denial for the sake of living in denial or the wanting to live in perpetual ignorance then I suspect that a healthy person can change his outlook on things. We have to believe in the quality of our information and our capabilities to accept that knowledge and what it represents. And, we have to be honest with ourselves as well. A healthy person, I repeat, should be able to change his attitude regarding this or that thing based on the data presented and by their acceptance of course on their acceptance of the person or thing presenting that data in the first place.

Welcome to Friday friends and the end of another hectic week. I hope you are not laughing too loudly. Well, I do what I have to do to survive right? At least I have a sense of humour if nothing else. Anyhow, tomorrow is yet another racing day at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. I certainly hope the weather will be cooperating that is for sure. I still do not know what went wrong back there last week. I am aware, however, that they had a real winter and we did not. Nothing we can do about the weather anyway so why sweat it right?

.

The weather is good now and is supposed to last up until Saturday. I like sunny weekends and I know that mostly everybody else does to. I guess it is just one of the little perks you get for being alive and doing a good job. Well, even if that is not the real reason it is a pretty good rationalization anyway. That is something that man does quite well I think; rationalizing his existence, that is. I guess it is just part of his selfish makeup to be able to do that if you know what I mean. I wonder why man is so damn selfish anyway? Any ideas? I mean, there is nothing that you can do about it really when you think about it. If you have a cat or a dog do you think of them as being selfish creatures? Well, they probably are you know when you start to examine their personalities that is. Maybe cats more than dogs though. I am amazed how dogs are so obedient and how they " suck hole " so much, whereas cats seem to have their act together and are more determined in their ways. Cats focus on themselves a bit more I think, whereas dogs tend to look out for their masters a little more - in the domesticated scenarios that is. Now, that is really the strange part for me. I mean, I think cats are cool in the way they conduct their business. If they were little suck holes like dogs then maybe I wouldn't respect them as much. So, I guess you might say that that is the attraction of cats for me. I appreciate the way they take care of themselves and the fact that they can be self sufficient, whereas a dog cannot be. Now that is the thing right there. And, maybe that is why I am a cat one over a dog man. You have to respect cats for being able to take care of themselves. But, dogs are not stupid of course and they make great pets and wonderful aids to all kinds of human endeavours as well. They can be trained to do many useful things, whereas a cat cannot or will not. But, that is the difference. Dogs are obedient and they are willing to pay the price to be taken care of. Dogs play by the rules whereas cats do not. Maybe dogs are not stupid, by just sly and that is another possible angle. But, the reason I like cats though is because they are just like me. They are natural rebels and they are cool.

Enough of this cat and dog nonsense already. I wrote about this kind of stuff way back when on the main part of my blog if you want to check it out. Let's just focus on tomorrow and racing. Yes, that is what I think we should do. So, just a reminder to my friends and acquaintances: if you are popping into town from out of town you know where I will be. Yesterday at work started out slow, but then quickly transformed itself into decent day. My main focus of activity turned out to be in Maple Ridge. The picture above is a snap from last year of the downtown area of Maple Ridge. It is neat going to the Ridge now, especially with the new Golden Ears Bridge. You don't have to drive all the way around to the Port Mann and then back east again. And, if you are on the north side of the Fraser it is easier to get the Ridge as well since they have built a new bridge over the Pitt River as well. So, things are improving a bit for the courier in the outlying areas anyway.

.The weather was decent enough and it is supposed to be nice and sunny for the next couple of days, and even into racing day which is Saturday. That will be nice for the sports car driving of course. Racing is two days away, but I am always planning ahead when it comes to my weekend entertainment though. If I am in the Cloverdale area, for example I will try and pop in and buy a form for Saturday. They are usually ready two days in advance so the girls tell me. It is better to phone ahead though just to make sure. Especially if you are thinking of making a special trip that is. But, this morning I will pretty close to Cloverdale and I just might pop in. But, it will be in the early part of the day and they might not be ready, so it would pay for me to phone ahead, even if I am in the area and it is early like I say.

.The Paralympics are still on in Vancouver and there is quite a bit of advertising going on about that. I made it into the downtown core late in the day yesterday and there were no traffic hassles at all. It was certainly nothing like the regular part of the Olympics that is for sure. There seemed to be lots of fresh snow on the mountains and it was very pretty out when you looked to the north. Not much else to report or comment upon, except to remind my friends and acquaintances about the racing schedule on the weekend. Weather permitting the Meadowlands Racetrack will be cranking up at 1600 hrs local time if you are interested. So, if you are my friend or acquaintance and you are popping into town from out of town well, you know how to get a hold of me. I hope you can all see now the kind of things that I think about on a Thursday. These are the Thursday basics I guess you could say. So, thanks for checking in guys and talk to you all tomorrow.

Well, I have to get off my butt sooner or later friends. I am not a self-made millionaire you know. I have to get out there and slug it out like the rest of you guys. Thankfully though, my slug fest is of a rather short term variety if you know what I mean.

.

Anyhow, it is back on the case today and dealing with the world and all of its people. I pretty well have got people figured out by now. People are kind of like things that you hate and love all at the same time. Rather like dealing with one's own self if you know what I mean. Think about it. Sometimes you feel good about yourself and your station in life and then the next thing you know you are questioning yourself and wondering who you are and why you are where you are and all manner of crazy, introspective things. Like how do you fit into the economic and social system and that kind of thing? I think we contemplate these things and it shows up in our behaviours as well. And, that is why I suppose when I see people walking on the street or driving their cars, well, that is when I just know that they are all like me, more or less. They are struggling to survive and to get by in the best way that they know how.

.

And, so today I am back in the thick of things, back home with my fellow man and making a living. That is our destiny friends. Slugging it out and bringing home the bacon. Working for a living. One of God's gifts to mankind. Work. Thank you dear God for this majestic gift. And, actually don't criticize God too much because He is doing the very best that He can under the circumstances. Think about it. If God created man as they say He did in the Bible then this is the way things are supposed to be. He created a bunch of people that have to eat and sleep and reproduce and do just about everything else that you can a imagine a human being does to survive. So, God didn't do too badly at all when you break it all down. I mean, the earth's resources are limited and man must either learn to live and work with his fellow man or fight it out and try and knock the other guy off and take all of his things. If you take a look at society I think you will find that there is a bit of both going on. Man is social and political and he is able to create functioning societies. But, he is also aggressive and acquisitive - and greedy. That is where wars and conflict come from. Earth can be a really ugly place in which to do business in if you happen to be born or land in one of the wrong places.

.

So, when I jump into the unit this morning and mingle with my fellow man and make a buck I know that I am one of the lucky ones. Bringing home the bacon in these parts is a fairly straight forward affair. It is organized and it is social. Oh, there may be some competitive aspects to the whole thing, but for the most part it is humane and fair and well, just plain workable. Be happy if you live in a place like I do. An organized, relatively safe environment is a pretty nice gift from God when you think about it. Some guys just are not so lucky. They don't get to philosophize as much as I get to do. Their idea of bringing home the bacon might just be picking up a spear and fighting off a foreign invader or hunting down another human and then having him for dinner. Be thankful wherever you are and think about yourself and your station in life. You just might be as happy as I am after you do that. And, then again, you might not be. Bringing home the bacon is a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

Well, I hope we spelled your name correctly Llyn. That is the way she looks in the Yearbook anyhow. Never seen that before. Anyway, here we are on Tuesday in the middle of March 2010. Had a fairly successful day yesterday friends. I did one of those really satisfying things, which for me is going to the dump, or the " transfer station " as it is euphemistically known. That's right, another load of household garbage bit the dust and a nice healthy load she was indeed. You have to get there at the right time too you know, otherwise you have to pay the commercial rates, which is double the charge. Fortunately, I glanced at my watch just as I got to the site and it was five minutes after two, so we just beat the system by a hair line. Lucky me eh? Well, after unloading the pile of junk I quickly made my way to McDonald's and had a McDouble and a coffee. This is the restaurant in Port Kells which I have highlighted on these pages in the past. You can see a picture of the rather small establishment below, small by McDonald's standards that is.

Isn't she a honey of a restaurant? Cute and cozy that is the way I think of this little baby. Oh, did I forget to tell you that it was free coffee at McDonald's for the first two weeks in March? How about in your neck of the woods, was it the same thing? Lucky you if it was. But, it is all over now so it doesn't matter anyway.

.Still more fireworks in the Middle East eh? Boy oh boy that Netanyahu doesn't miss a beat. I told you he was bad news way back when just as he took over as prime minister. He is a hawk and he is quite dangerous as you can see. I guess he thinks little or nothing of the Palestinians and is not afraid to put the so-called Peace Plan in jeopardy. But, that is par for the course for guys like him. Just don't ever say I did not tell you so. I think the whole thing is bogus anyway. I mean, insulting the United States while Joe Biden is visiting the country. Do you buy into that crap? Was it just a big mistake and an untimely event? Biden caught off guard. Well, nothing in the Middle East that has anything to do with Israel is not planned or done without the best interests of Israel in mind. Israel knows that and the United States knows that too. Israel will keep on building settlements in the manner and time of its choosing. I mean, come on. Get real. It has been doing what it has been doing for over sixty years so what makes you think it is going to stop now? Little by little are they taking over all of the lands in the occupied territories. That is the goal anyway. They want to control and inhabit all of the land and they want the Palestinians to simply disappear from the face of the earth. I thought you guys knew all of this stuff. It is such a joke to watch.

.So, Llyn what do you think of all of this Timothy Geithner nonsense? Pretty weird crap eh? I mean, Geithner was right in the thick of things when everything was coming down. He was the New York Fed remember? So, that means that he should have known a lot of things and been responsible for the general condition of things among the banks. I think the whole thing is a joke anyway. These bankers, like I have told you a million times, do not want to give up their power. Sure, the politicians make a big show about reforming the system, but what happens in the end? When the lobbyists get in there and manipulate the politicians and even write the laws that means that nothing is going to change. Somehow the bankers always manage to keep things the same. Weird isn't it how these politicians in charge of change and in keeping the system safe always manage to run into some kind of an obstacle. You know what I mean, there was resistance here or some problem there. And, besides even in spite of everything that happened the industry can manage itself and the Fed is the best possible entity to regulate the banks anyway. Heard that one before? Well, think about it. In spite of all of the negative flak that Bernanke got he is still in the saddle and doing a second stint now isn't he? Well, that should be your main clue right there friends. I am certainly not holding my breath that anything of any consequence will develop under Obama's watch. Two things of importance and nothing is happening. These two things are peace in the Middle East a la Israel and Palestine and reform of the financial system. Pardon me while I puke.

.So, if you are still out there and kicking Llyn I hope you can see what I am talking about. I don't know what you would do, but I know what I would do. Get the Fed the hell out of there that's what. Who ever thought the world would be this complicated? Or, is it just so simple and no one can see that? I wonder now. Anyhow, not much on the agenda today except that I am taking the truck in for an oil change. So, that will be fun I suppose. Talk to you all later and have a nice day.

Looks like yet another earthquake this morning friends. Chile again. Notice how many big quakes we are having in a very short period of time? All kinds of them. Must be something going on. Remember awhile back I told you I was worried? Well, maybe this is it. Perhaps it is related to the HAARP Program up in Alaska. Christ - not Alaska again? When will this ever end eh friends?

Anyhow, just to change the topic a bit, I had a dream this morning. We were all sitting in this room and my father Mike told a joke. I started laughing it was so funny. And, then a bunch of other guys started laughing as well. I remember it was his brother John that laughed next though. And, then we all laughed. Loud laughing everywhere. I was splitting my guts out the joke was so funny. But, I cannot remember what he said. Even at the time of the joke I cannot remember what was so hilarious. I think that was because I had hardly any sleep though. That is my theory anyway. But, then I remembered how all the people on my father's side are now dead. Him and his two brothers and his sister are dead. And, on the other side of the family, my mother, her two sisters and her brother are all still alive. Now, how does that work I wonder? Anyway, that is what I thought about when I heard my father telling that joke that I cannot even remember. Stupid eh? I wonder what Brenda up there would have to say about all of this if she bothers to stop in and check things out that is. Probably not much I bet.

Well, happy Sunday friends and Happy Daylight Savings Time as well. Did you forget? Actually, it doesn't matter if you forgot because your computer is on top of the case like it always is. And, most likely your cellphone too. So, as you can see technology is a wonderful thing.

Up above is a picture of Susan. She is next on the list in the Year Book which you can link to, right below her. She is the next girl in the Book. Maybe when we are finished with all of the girls then we can start on the guys. I remember one day I looked at all of the pics and counted the females and the males. There are quite a few more males actually, so I thought that was kind of interesting. And, as everybody knows there are more females in the world than males so that is kind of different that we have this anomaly here at my school. Maybe not in China I suppose where they seem to knock off the girls as soon as they are born. Well, maybe they don't do that kind of stuff anymore, but they used to. How the hell can they have over a billion people if they keep on thinking boys are more special than girls? Are they nuts?

Looking out of the blinds I can see that there is a quite bit of sunshine happening. You can check out our weather over on the side bar if you are interested. Should be some updated pics there of our local streets and that kind of thing. We must be getting closer to Spring and real convertible weather. Now, that will be fun let me tell you. I should get out today and try to accomplish something though, especially since I sloughed off on Friday. What are you going to do eh?

Yesterday was kind of a neat day at the track. What a total joke though. I did all of my handicapping for the Meadowlands in New Jersey and I was all settled in and ready to make my first bet and then they ended up cancelling the races in New Jersery. I guess it was heavy rain or something. Who knows. All that work and all that thinking - for nothing. What did I do? Well, I quickly purchased a form for Woodbine in Toronto that is what I did. This is my back up track and my system works there to a point, especially with the higher priced trotters. Anyway, things did not turn out too badly at all. I won 161 dollars in the second race and that basically paid for my night. So, it was quite enjoyable actually even though the main track had to be shut down. See, there is a silver lining sometimes. Anyway, I am kind of stuck for words now so I think I am going to more or less wrap things up. Still watching the action in the Middle East of course where you have the Israelis embarrassing Joe Biden and everyone else associated with the so-called Peace Talks. A Palestinian State? What do you think? It is only going to happen friends when Israel deems it is time and in its favour. The U.S. can criticize Israel all it wants, but it is most likely just all for show anyway. I think Israel knows better than to catch the U.S. off guard in a situation like this. It does not make sense and I am sure it was all scripted just like mostly everything else is as well.

.Still paying attention to the stock market as well. Seems like such a loser's game eh? I mean, especially when everything seems so rigged against the little guy. The market is flat and uninspiring if you ask me. I have told you guys numerous times what kind of shape the U.S. consumer is in and what kind of debt that country has. I mean, how can you run a world wide military operation when the citizens are going backwards and you keep piling up the debt? Are we supposed to believe that the market is somehow going to shoot upward and are these gains supposed to be sustainable? Does it look like we just got off some kind of boat or something?

.Well, dear Susan if you are still with us just what would you do about the whole thing? Like me you are most likely skeptical. There is no other logical feeling I do not think. Unless, you are one of the inside guys you are mostly likely very doubtful indeed. 1967 was a big year for us grads in South Burnaby. Like I told you earlier we got to experience the Six Day War while it was happening. Now, how many other guys have that one under their belts eh? P.S. Finally, Susan, I hope you do not mind, but today I removed the Huffington Post from the links on the main part of my blog. The reason I did that is because that internet paper censored an article about 9/11 by one of my heroes, namely Jesse Ventura, the former Governor of Minnesota. They don't want us to really know what happened on that day and that is why I remain a supporter of the Truth Movement, an organization and idea that is trying to uncover what really happened on that fateful day.
