How best to handle a pest....

Good Morning Friends,

.

today is Thursday October 1, 2009

.

That's right friends, we have entered a brand new month. Can you feel the change? Well, there really is no difference of course, from one month to the next, I mean. It is just all in your mind anyway, that there is some huge difference between the month of September and its follower, namely the month of October. Months just are, they are just there as a means for us to keep track of things. That is the only function in life that a month has; it job is to keep track of things.

.

And, what do you think the business of a fly or a bee is? I bet these little creatures are more important than some stupid month that just sits there and does nothing. Why flies are bees are real doers; they are workers. They do things and they are busy all of the time, planning and scheming and that kind of thing. They are buzzing to and fro and everywhere. And, sometimes they buzz right into your life and they annoy you. So, the question of the day is - why do they annoy you? Aren't you curious and don't you really want to know?

.

Well, I am an expert on this topic actually and that is because I have been called a pest before. Have you ever been called a pest in your life? Maybe you have and maybe you haven't. If you have maybe you were just going about your business diligently, you know, trying to do the best job that you can, whether it be gathering things or otherwise trying to make your way through life and preparing for the future and that kind of thing. And, maybe you were intensely into your work as well. You know, really dedicated to the task - trying to do the right thing. But, then something went wrong. You bumped into another creature who thought that you were nothing but a pest. Someone actually called you a pest. When someone calls you a pest that means that they do not appreciate you for what you are and what you are trying to achieve. How did you feel when somebody called you a pest? How would anybody feel, even a fly or even a bee? I am sure they have feelings like the rest of us. How do you think they feel when you swat them or otherwise try to get them out of your life because they are bothering you? I bet you they don't like it all. And, the reason that they do not like it is because they are so dedicated to the task and they realize that you do not appreciate them for what they are and what they are trying to accomplish. And, if you took a swipe at them, well, they most likely reacted in kind. What would you expect them to do? All creatures, like humans have attitudes about things and that is why they do what they do.

.

But, bees and flies are such little creatures and they do not realize that they are being pests. And, that is because nobody told them that they were pests or just acting like pests. So, it is really up to us humans I think to show a little leadership here. We need to be able to show these little creatures just how human we can be. We have to let them know that we accept them for what they are - even if they bother us just a little bit. Don't you think that is a good idea? Well, you should think it is a good idea and here is why. The reason you should change your behaviour regarding a pest because it is in your own self interest to do so. For, if you act negatively and give a pest a hard time he is likely to react negatively against you. He does not know the difference between right and wrong as you do. He can only react to your behavior. He can only do what he knows - and that is to strike back. So, I recommend for your own self interest that you reconsider your actions the next time you see a pest in your neck of the woods. Think of the consequences of your behavior if you call someone a pest or even treat someone like a pest. Pests can act like humans too you know.

Here is a recent interview of me talking about this very subject. And, the very end of this interview I am making a reference to a pest of sorts. Actually, it is bees that I am talking about. Examine my behavior and tell me what you think. Take note of the fact that what I am really doing is copying the behavior of George Bush as it relates to pests. Mr. Bush's pests are of a different variety, but the point is still the same I think..
